The Night of the Chip Bandit

On Monday night I had a celebration dinner to attend with my student teaching seminar group at Olive Garden. It was a good time, I guess. Anyways, as I started my car to leave, I received these images in a text message from Mark:
Mark said he had a plate of pita chips with some cheese melted onto them that he left on the floor while he prepared and heated Brigham's dinner. When he walked back into the living room, this is what he found. Our very own Chip Bandit made his way over to the plate (rolling is his only method of transportation right now) and stole some of his dad's chips. He didn't want to be greedy, so he shared with our carpet also. At least he's willing to share or maybe he was trying to teach his dad a little bit about sharing.

Haircut #2

Brigham's hair had once again become unruly, mullet like, and unspikable. This morning, I just cut it myself because I couldn't take it anymore. If I must say so myself, it looks great! Also, I forgot to mention that his second tooth came in overnight last Friday when we were in Savannah. He was rather fussy and I am blaming that tooth and also his lack of being able to take all 3 of his naps fully. Poor guy. He handled his first vacation rather well considering. Oh how we love him.

Two Spring Breaks

Today is the very last day of my spring break. Tomorrow I go back to school and I do not want to at all. I have been looking forward to spring break since December. Yes, that is sad. I had the whole week with Brigham and I loved every minute of it. I was able to get up with him every morning and play all day! Tomorrow it is all over. I am done teaching so I will spend the next 20 days observing. During math, I will be helping in another 4th grade class. I am glad to be done teaching but the next 20 days will probably go by so much slower than the last 3 months. Oh well, the end is near!! The one thing I wanted to get accomplished on my spring break was my ISL project. Needless to say, that didn't happen. I never even pulled anything out so that I could start. it isn't due until May but I really do want to get it done this week. Hopefully I will actually attempt to meet this goal. I have my Praxis II test on April 24th so cramming for that will probably start at the end of this week. I am really dreading that. I hate studying for anything but this is one test you can't guess your way through. That's too bad.
Mark's spring break was the first week of March. Unlike me, he was extremely productive during his spring break.

He took this

All with the help of Nate and this guy

We don't have any before pictures of the stove area and I didn't feel like taking pictures tonight but it also has the butcher block counter tops, tile back splash, and white cabinets. We have also adjusted the hanging lights so that they are all the same length now. I absolutely LOVE our kitchen now. Having it all closed off was my #1 complaint of our home. It has been over a month since it was completed and it still surprises me sometimes when I walk in. It feels like a completely different house. I am amazed at all the work Mark and Nate did and the fact that they gave up their entire spring break and then all their free time the following week to complete this project. They are just fabulous! Mark and I decided to do this 2 weeks before the demolition started. We didn't tell anyone we were doing it except Nate and Scarlett. They would work until 3 and 4 in the morning many nights. The most amazing part is that Brigham slept through it all! They were using saws and hammers in our dining room and the little man didn't budge. I still can't believe he is such a good sleeper. Just last week we vacuumed his room while he was asleep and he didn't move a muscle. Slept through it all. What a champ!

Savannah

Easter weekend we spent Friday night in Savannah in Nate and Scarlett. We love Savannah, especially Paula Deen's restaurant, Lady and Sons. SOOO delicious! We didn't do a whole lot. We left Saturday afternoon. Here are some pictures.

His dad sneaking him some candy, AGAIN!
Practicing his sitting skills. He began to really sit on his own March 29th.
Our stroller was a life saver!

First time at the beach. He LOVED the sand.
